WORKSHOP ON EFFECTIVE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT IN THE 21ST CENTURY HELD IN ADAMAWA STATE

Yola, Adamawa State – A capacity-building workshop on Effective School Management in the 21st century was held in Adamawa State on Monday, 10th March 2025, at the State’s capital, Yola.

The workshop, which was attended by key stakeholders in the education sector, including Hon. Adiel Kurdrah, representing the Chairman of Adamawa SUBEB, Dr. Umario Babayi, emphasized the crucial role of effective school management in achieving educational excellence.

Hon. Adiel Kurdrah commended NIEPA for their excellent work in supporting educational development in Nigeria, stating that educational leaders must ensure schools provide high-quality education that prepares students for success.

Dr. Opeyemi A. Oyekan, representing the Ag. DG of NIEPA, highlighted the importance of effective school management in improving educational outcomes. “NIEPA is committed to supporting educational development in Nigeria through capacity-building programs like this workshop,” she said.

According to Dr. Oyekan, NIEPA’s Annual Training Programme (ATP) is also available for schools and educational agencies, providing certification in educational administration and planning. She urged education stakeholders to patronize NIEPA for their manpower development needs.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Hajia Rakiba Aminu, Director of Finance; Mrs. Deborah Dominic Tumbo, Desk Officer for Jolly Phonics; and Mohammed Sani Musa, Director of Training and Professional Development.

This workshop was part of a series of other Teacher Professional Development trainings held in two states, including Ondo and Ekiti, earlier in March 2025, demonstrating NIEPA’s commitment to supporting educational development across Nigeria.
