Introduction
The department took her root with the Institute. It started as a department consisting of two centres, namely: Publication and Documentation Centres. The presidential reform of 2007 led to downsizing which adversely affected the Publication centre. The Publication centre became a part of the Institute’s consulting outfit.
Departmental Mission
To foster intellectual growth and support research, training and educational activities of the Institute. The Library fulfill its mission by acquiring, organizing, preserving and making available collections of scholarly materials in all formats to staff, stakeholder and the wider community.
Departmental Vision
To perform a central role of adding value to information for the academic community by creatively improving and providing information resources and services through creation of an environment that encourages the pursuit of intellectual endeavours and the creation of knowledge, as well as cultivate a workplace that nurtures cooperation, harmony and personal growth.
