Functions of Public Relations/New Media Unit
The New Media Unit helps the Institute communicate information to the public using technology and the internet. It enhances web platforms, creating video chat applications, creating advertisements and communicating on social media sites. It allows staff, clients and friends of the Institute interact virtually and easily access news and information through the Institute’s social media handles.
- Design digital media campaigns aligned with Institute goals
- Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, press releases and podcasts)
- Manage end-to-end digital projects
- Establish our web presence to boost Institute awareness
- Maintain a strong online organizational voice through social media
- Liaise with Marketing Unit teams to ensure brand consistency
- Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase profitability

Functions of Servicom Unit
- Driving the process for positive change in the Institute
- Facilitating a safe and conducive working environment for staff
- Disseminating best practices and tips on effective service delivery through sensitization programs
- Applying SERVICOM index to measure the quality of trainings implemented and staff productivity
- Managing links with strategic planners and other stakeholders on service delivery within the Institute
- Monitoring training programmes
- Liaising between Ministerial SERVICOM and NIEPA SERVICOM
- Serving as the Secretariat of the Local SERVICOM Committee
- Maintaining suggestion boxes to facilitate the making of suggestions for improved service delivery
- Guiding and counselling of staff on issues relating to effective service delivery
Functions of Legal Unit
Stated below are specific task of the legal unit;
- Drafting of Contract Agreements between the Institute and contractors
- Provision of legal opinion on Regulatory compliance, Public Service Rules and Legal Matters affecting the Institute.
- Carrying out duties of Ad-Hoc Committees assigned to
- Appearing with the institutes lawyer in court cases involving the Institute The legal unit with the Institute’s external Lawyer has appeared and represented the institute in various matters in court. Some of these matters were struck out of the court’s list on the application of the Institute’s external Lawyer, others have been concluded and one was taken to the Appeal Court by the plaintiff who was not satisfied with the judgement of court that was given in favor of the Institute.
- Drafting of Tenancy Agreement between the Institute and her Tenants.
- Drafting of Memorandum of Understanding between the institute and other parties.
Functions of Health Centre
This is the medical centre that provide affordable, easily accessible, high quality primary health care service to individual staff, staff dependents, Participants , Client, guest and community within and around NIEPA
- To provide basic health care need of individual, families and community around NIEPA
- Attending to any medical and health complaint
- Given psychological care to client
- Arriving at Medical and Nursing diagnosis and treatment of client
- IN charge of staff National Health Insurance Scheme
- Liasing with NHIA and the HMO
- Act as a Primary Health care Provider under NHIA for patient care
- Providing regular Medical/ Health education to NIEPA staff & community.
- Providing regulation of vaccination to staff and community.
