Functions of Legal Unit

Stated below are specific task of the legal unit;

1. Drafting of Contract Agreements between the Institute and contractors

2. Provision of legal opinion on Regulatory compliance, Public Service Rules and Legal Matters affecting the Institute.

Appearing with the institutes lawyer in court cases involving the Institute The legal unit with the Institute’s external Lawyer has appeared and represented the institute in various matters in court. Some of these matters were struck out of the court’s list on the application of the Institute’s external Lawyer, others have been concluded and one was taken to the Appeal Court by the plaintiff who was not satisfied with the judgement of court that was given in favor of the Institute.

5. Drafting of Tenancy Agreement between the Institute and her Tenants.

6. Drafting of Memorandum of Understanding between the institute and other parties.
